2024 VTR Biotech Global Animal Nutrition Technology Summit: Advancing Animal Health and Sustainability

The 2024 VTR Biotech Global Animal Nutrition Technology Summit was successfully held at the Zhuhai Sheraton Hotel. This annual event has become a cornerstone for knowledge exchange and collaboration in animal nutrition and health. This year, we were honored to have distinguished speakers, Prof. Layi Adeola from Purdue University, USA, and Dr. Mehdi Toghyani from the University of Sydney. Their research has significantly advanced our understanding of sustainable feeding strategies and enzyme applications in animal diets.

Professor Layi Adeola: “Opportunities for the Use of Exogenous Enzyme Preparations in Non-Ruminant Diets”

Professor Layi Adeola, a highly respected researcher in non-ruminant nutrition from Purdue University, USA, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the potential of exogenous enzyme preparations in non-ruminant diets. His talk highlighted the opportunities enzymes offer in improving nutrient digestibility, enhancing feed efficiency, and reducing environmental impact. Prof. Adeola emphasized the importance of tailoring enzyme solutions to specific dietary needs, thereby optimizing their benefits across different species and diet compositions. His speech thoroughly explored current research findings and practical applications, underscoring the transformative potential of enzyme technologies in non-ruminant animal production systems.

Dr. Mehdi Toghyani: “Mannanase – A Key to Poultry Diets”

Dr. Mehdi Toghyani followed with an equally enlightening presentation focused on the role of mannanase in poultry diets. He delved into the enzymatic breakdown of mannans, a type of non-starch polysaccharide found in poultry feed ingredients. Dr. Toghyani presented evidence showing how mannanase supplementation can significantly improve nutrient absorption and feed conversion ratios in poultry. His research also highlighted the broader implications of using mannanase, including its cost-effectiveness and sustainability in poultry production.

2024 VTR Biotech Global Foodtech Innovation Conference: Pioneering the Future of Food

As part of the expansion celebration, VTR Biotech hosted the Global Foodtech Innovation Conference on August 20th at the Zhuhai St. Regis Hotels. The event attracted industry leaders and experts from around the world to explore the latest advancements in food technology, with a focus on the transformative role of food enzymes. These enzymes are essential for enhancing food quality, nutrition, and processing efficiency – critical factors in meeting the demands of a growing global population.

The conference also featured a compelling keynote speech by Dr. Ana Jacobus from SENAI of Brazil, who discussed the development of second-generation biomass energy. Her insights on sustainable bioenergy solutions highlighted the importance of integrating technology with nature to address global challenges such as climate change and resource scarcity. The event underscored the pivotal role enzyme solutions will play in creating healthier, tastier, and more sustainable food options,  ultimately reshaping the future of food.

2024 VTR Biotech Pulp and Paper Technology Conference: A Greener Future for the Industry

VTR Biotech also hosted the 2024 Pulp and Paper Technology Conference on August 20th at the St. Regis Hotel in Zhuhai. With a focus on environmental conservation, the conference spotlighted innovations in enzyme-based pulping processes and energy-efficient paper production methods. The event emphasized the importance of collaboration across the supply chain to improve resource efficiency and wastewater management, driving meaningful environmental change.

The 2024 Pulp and Paper Technology Conference was not just an industry event. It was a celebration of progress and collaboration toward a more sustainable future for the pulp and paper industry. We are eager to build on the momentum generated and continue our journey toward creating a greener and more efficient industry.
