DES-40-01 is a kind of amylase. Amylase can rapidly and randomly hydrolyze the α-1,4 glycosidic linkages of starch. The viscosity of the starch slurry can be rapidly reduced by the addition of amylase.

Ideal for desizing fabrics and garments.
Breaking down starch, starch derivatives and starch/synthetic slurry mixes on fabrics, quickly converting starch into dextrin and reducing viscosity so that it can be easily and completely removed in subsequent washes.
